KárahnjúkarSagafilm produces a documentary series which register the story of the Kárahnjúka project. The documentary, a 10 times sixty minutes, is commissioned by Landsvirkjun, and the programmes are transmitted by RUV, 2 each year, in May and November. If one bypasses the political discussion about the project, the building of the biggest dam and hydraulic station in Europe, one cannot disagree that the project is huge and unique. Sagafilm records the project and the stories evolving around it during the processing years. The series follows the mammoth building project, puts the people involved under the microscope, follows the affect on nature, weather, fauna and flora. There is place for both con and pro, where the people involved share their views. The series will eventually tell a continuous story about the project and can be used as a digital and living documentation for unborn generations. Producer: Production Management: Director: Links: |
