X-Factor
A Sagafilm production team that took on the challenge to be the producers of this biggest ever TV show in Iceland and we are proud to say that this is the most ambitious production we have done so far.
After three successful seasons of Idol Channel 2 decided to produce Simon Cowells X-Factor.
It was Sagafilms production team that took on the challenge to be the producers of this biggest ever TV show in Iceland and we are proud to say that this is the most ambitious production we have done so far.
X-Factor is a music reality show with a difference where "anyone and everyone can audition". The contest was open to 3 different categories: under 25, over 25, and groups.
In the second round of the contest the judges were each assigned a category to mentor. Each judge then got to assemble a team of people to help turn their wannabes into stars! The contestants were then put through a boot camp and afterwards only FIVE remained in each group!
Sagafilm produced 20 episodes this first season with 11 live shows from Smaralind after having spent three months on building the stage and the set.
Packed with excitement and unexpected happenings, X-Factor proved to be first class entertainment show. At the end it was Jogvan Hanson from the Faroe Islands who was elected the X-Factor of 2007 after a great final against the Hara sisters from Hveragerdi.
