Guðjón was born in Reykjavík.  In highschool he became infactuated with cinemagraphy and spent a great deal of the time skipping school and making videos instead. When he was only nineteen years old he was offered a job at Norðurljós, (later 365) broadcasting company
and was soon made head of the promo department.

Gudjon exploded into the advertising industry in 2004 with his debut commercial project, Slow Down. It is the first icelandic commercial that prides itself with an Eurobest Gold award.
It was also shortlisted at Cannes and recevied several other awards in Iceland and in the US including a New York Festival bronze.

His biography clearly states that he even as a teenager had a clear vision of where he wanted to go and went there -fast. It is with the same ambition and determination that he takes on his projects.

Gudjon has in recent years found a place among the most talented directors in the europe.
And he is only getting started.
